Join us for the 2024 NAFEA Webinar, a unique opportunity for members to connect, network, and share their challenges and successes.

The webinar will feature guest speaker Leoni Russell, Lead, Employability and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) in the Employability and Careers Education team at RMIT University. Leoni will be discussing ‘Embedding employability initiatives in curriculum: a data driven approach at RMIT University’

The guest speaker session will be followed by discipline and topic break-out sessions, allowing members to dive into current topics, exchange strategies, and share good practices.

Guest Speaker

Leoni Russell is the Lead, Employability and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) in the Employability and Careers Education team at RMIT University. Leoni provides academic support to build staff capability across a range of educational strategies including industry partnered Learning, work integrated learning (WIL), career development learning (CDL) and the embedding of employability initiatives into curriculum. Leoni has extensive experience in WIL policy, governance, national research and facilitating professional development to support WIL practice.  Leoni is an elected director on the national board of the Australian Collaborative Education Network (ACEN), the Chair of the Conference and Awards committee and is the current secretary for the Vic/Tas ACEN chapter.

Leoni has been involved in numerous national research projects on WIL and has co-authored numerous journal articles and book chapters, most recently in Ferns, S.J., Rowe, A.D., & Zegwaard, K.E. (Eds.). (2021). Advances in Research, Theory and Practice in Work-Integrated Learning: Enhancing Employability for a Sustainable Future (1st ed.). Routledge.
